CBS Graduate Study Start Day
På Graduate Study Start Day, den fælles studiestartsdag, bliver du budt velkommen sammen med alle de øvrige nye kandidatstuderende på CBS. Dagen byder på en faglig introduktion til din uddannelse samt et Student Support Fair, hvor du kan få information om de mange services og muligheder, CBS tilbyder. Der vil også være en guidet rundvisning på CBS’ campus.
Ud over de faglige introduktioner vil der være rig mulighed for at netværke og møde andre studerende i hyggelige omgivelser.

Student Support Fair
Under Student Support Fair kan du deltage i en række oplæg og præsentationer om CBS’ tilbud og services. Alle oplæg afholdes i auditoriet SPs01 på Solbjerg Plads 3.
Derudover kan du besøge vores walk-in-områder, hvor du kan få mere detaljeret information og stille spørgsmål.

Guided campus tour
Som ny studerende på CBS kan du komme med på en rundvisning på campus om onsdagen. Rundvisningen giver dig mulighed for at blive fortrolig med de vigtigste steder på CBS, herunder de forskellige bygninger, kantiner, biblioteket og meget mere. Rundvisningen ledes af CBS-studerende, som kan besvare dine spørgsmål og hjælpe dig med at finde rundt.
Tid og mødested: Kl. 10.00 eller kl. 14.00. Rundvisningen starter foran lokale SPs01.

Practical information: You do not need to prepare anything before arrival. Please bring comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a charged phone for interactive activities and group challenges. Dinner and light snacks will be provided during the day. The evening social activities are optional but highly encouraged.

- 12:00 – 12:30: Welcome, Cohort Introduction & Icebreaker. Students are welcomed by the Study Start Hosts with a brief introduction to the programme, expectations for the next two years, and the purpose of the study start. The session concludes with a Slido “Get to Know Your Class” activity followed by the “Find Your People” interactive icebreaker.
- 12:30 – 13:30: Group Activity – “The Agency Challenge” (Part 1). Students are divided into mixed teams and work through a fictional corporate communication crisis. Each group develops a communication strategy, identifies the appropriate spokesperson and tone, and prepares a short public statement. The activity focuses on communication, creativity, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
- 13:30 – 14:30: Career Workshop – “Landing a Student Job That Strengthens Your CV.” CBS Career Partner presents “Landing a Student Job That Strengthens Your CV.” Students will learn practical strategies for finding a relevant student job, understanding employer expectations, and using LinkedIn, AI, and networking effectively.
- 14:45 – 16:00: Group Activity – “The Agency Challenge” (Part 2) Teams finalize and present their communication strategy. Following the presentations, students vote on the strongest response, and the winning team receives a small prize!
- 16:00 – 16:30: Closing Remarks. Wrap-up of the day’s activities, announcement of the winning team, and practical information for the evening programme.
- 16:30 – 17:20: Dinner & Travel to the Canal Tour. Sandwiches, snacks, and soft drinks will be provided before the group travels together from CBS to Netto Bådene, Holmens Kirke.
- Canal Tour – Arrive no later than 18:15 as the boat will leave at 18:30. Students enjoy a 1H guided canal tour of Copenhagen. Students are encouraged to continue the night and socialize after.

- 9:45: Arrive to SPs13 Kunde & Co auditorium to prepare for guest speaker and industry workshop.
- 10:00 – 11:00: Kunde & Co Workshop. Interactive industry workshop combining a real client case with personal career stories from consultants at Kunde & Co. Students gain insight into strategic branding, communications consulting, and how the competencies developed during Cand.merc.(comm.) translate into professional practice. The session includes an introduction to Kunde & Co, a real client case, reflections on life as a branding and communications consultant, career journeys, and an open Q&A.
- 11:30 – 12:30 Communication & MBTI Archetype Workshop. Students complete a collaboration questionnaire to explore their communication styles. The workshop focuses on understanding different approaches to teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem-solving while helping students identify complementary strengths within their cohort. https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test
- 12:45 – 13:45: Lunch & Alumni Reflections. Lunch will be provided. During lunch, a recent Cand.merc.(comm.) graduate will share their reflections on the programme, choosing a specialization, transitioning into working life, and advice for making the most of the next two years.
- 13:45 – 14:00: Closing Remarks. Key takeaways, practical information, and encouragement to stay connected throughout the semester.

Join CBS for an online seminar to help you get settled in Denmark and at CBS. You will get information and tips about registration with the authorities, housing, living in Denmark and much more.

On this day you will get essential practical, academic and cultural information to assist you in your transition to CBS and Copenhagen.
